You want to go where?!?!? THE ZOO!

My husband yelling from one side of the house...."You want to go where???".....me yelling from the other "THE ZOO!!!!".....  My husband..."But it's snowing outside!"...Me..."THE ZOO!!!!".  I like to pretend I don't hear things....selective hearing?  Tim and I both had the day off on Friday and it was cold....flurries....and I got the best idea, let's go to the zoo!  And because Tim loves me so he was willing to tag along with me.  We had a fabulous time!  It wasn't crowded at all!  We basically had the whole zoo to ourselves.  And yes it did snow a bit, but we didn't mind at all.  That's what gloves and cute hats are for!  Here are a few pics from our "VIP" tour of the zoo..... :)  Enjoy!

"Well hello there!  I'm Kristina, I'll be your tour guide for the day.....Please ensure your seatbelts are securely fastened and all electronic devices are turned off...."  :)

Someone was enjoying the cold weather....

A cardinal...you know that means good luck right?!?!?!

Okay so I LOVE cats, especially Tigers.....

Which is why I took tons of pics.....  :)

Ready?.....Awwwwwww!...

Seepy widdle kiddy.....  :)

Such a lady....

And yes it was snowing, so pretty...

"What are you saying???".... In case you didn't know, I speak kitty.....hey I got her attention....

Very attractive little guy....

It wasn't THAT cold outside..... :)

I LOVE peacocks!

As I was taking pics of the other peacock, this little guy popped his head out of nowhere.....

He was just chillin in the little truck I was standing next to.....OMG!!!!  Talk about excited...

I've chased many a peacock in my day and have NEVER gotten this close before....I suddenly became a kid in a candy store....or myself in a red velvet bakery.....  :)

Love it....

And his peacock posse did not attack me.....awesome!

Then we headed into the bird sanctuary which was very warm and very tropical....so nice....

"Hey!  It's the fruit loop bird!"....

A little portrait of my DH.... (In case you are wondering, DH means Dearest Husband)...

The penguin house is fun....just a tad smelly....but that's ok :)

This little guy could run really fast...I was impressed....

Doesn't his face look soft????  Don't you just want to give him a hug??? :)

I wonder what size shoe he wears?.....

This is Shirley, the oldest bear at the zoo.  She is 27 years old.  Shirley enjoys hamburger meat and laying under the heaters in the back.  The zoo keeper calls her "The part-time bear" because she only comes out when she feels like it....she likes her heaters....  :)

Very vintage looking....very pretty.....

The reptile house had gorgeous gold textured columns.....the texture was of snakes, but still gorgeous....

Okay I am not a fan of snakes....

But I'm a sucker for anything metallic.....loved his pattern.

This little guy had the right idea....easy access.....

There was a dry spot on the wet sidewalk....Me- "It looks like a peacock!".....Tim- "It looks like a rooster!"....  I was not aware the zoo had such high tech special effects....

"HEEEEY we can see ourselves!!!!  Jump up and down!!!!"  lol...  :)

Well that's all for today.  "Please ensure your tray tables and seat backs are in the upright and locked position.  Please be careful when opening the overhead compartment as personal items may have shifted during the flight.  HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!" :)
