Amber and Reese PUBLISHED - St. Louis Newborn Photographer

Hi there!  I hope you all had a great weekend!

Just in case you missed it, the lovely Amber and Reese were featured on Live Modernly, which is the lifestyle blog for Modernly Wed.  As a portrait photographer, I adore photographing newborns but I do not use props such as babies in baskets....and I don't wrap them in a sheet and hang them from a tree either.  I prefer "lifestyle" newborn photography that shows the baby in their natural environment, where they are most comfortable.  For this particular session I wanted to bring in a bit of "glamour" and add in a hair and makeup stylist to make Amber (the mother) feel exceptionally gorgeous.  Natural lighting, natural setting, and a gorgeous mother and her newborn baby....love it.  Thank you again to Live Modernly for featuring this session.  Special thanks to the lovely Amber for letting me capture her session and to Nikki Cox for hair and makeup.

Melissa and Matt ENGAGED | Chicago IL Wedding Photographer

Back in March I traveled up state to photograph Melissa and Matt's downtown Chicago engagement session.  Their St. Louis wedding is coming up so I thought I better share their engagement session huh? :)

Their session was originally scheduled for Saturday, but as I was shopping at IKEA Saturday morning I couldn't help but notice the IKEA flags whipping in the wind...oh...and the snowflakes falling.  I never want my couples to freeze to death if they don't have to, so we decided to reschedule for Sunday.    If you are at all familiar with Midwest weather you know it can change by the hour.  I mean, we have tornadoes in December...random!  So of course Sunday was 70 degrees and sunny, way better weather for a session if you ask me.

We met in downtown Chicago near Lincoln Park for their engagement session and just walked around for a bit.  The Chicago skyline is gorgeous and the building there are gorgeous.  Loved their engagement session!  Even more excited to photograph their St. Louis wedding in October!

 

Ace - St. Louis Family Photographer

Well hello there....it's been way too long since my last blog post.....way too long.  So time to jump back on the bloggity train! :)  Wedding season is right around the corner and I cannot express how EXCITED I am about my 2012 couples!  Also, many many people are preggo meaning there will also be a lot of baby fever goodness on the blog this year.  Love me some adorable chubby squishy babies ;)  So with this being the first blog of the year (ya I know it's February)....I thought I would show off the AH-dorable and handsome Ace.

Ace just celebrated his first Birthday this week....  I photographed his Mom's maternity pics, and then Ace's newborn pics, so of course it was an honor to be asked again :)  Ace aka "Ace of Base" is SUCH a little ham and it's so great to be able to see my babies grow up! :)  Enjoy!

Tara and Ryan - Belleville Illinois Wedding Photographer

Hi there!  The wind is very windy today.... :)  Just wanted to share a recent engagement session I had with the gorgeous Tara and Ryan.  They look like J.Crew models....just sayin. :)  The wind was also very windy that day (gotta love Fall) but they worked their session.  Did I mention how adorable they are? :)  SO looking forward to their gorgeous May wedding! 

Oh you want me to sit in the middle of a busy street?  Okay :)
