5 Year Wedding Anniversary

Happy 5 year anniversary to my amazing husband Tim Cipolla! Over the past 5 years we've traveled the world together, added another fur baby to the family, moved across country, and just dealt with whatever life threw at us. We may not see each other every day and our marriage/life may not be a "traditional 9-5" but we are still going strong. Out of the 12 years we've been together, I'd say these past 5 have been pretty dang awesome. You are my best friend and I'm so lucky to have you as my husband.

Katie & Drew - Charleston South Carolina Wedding Photographer

Charleston, South Carolina is in my top five most romantic places in the world, especially to get married.  The southern charm, cobblestone roads, scent of jasmine, and gorgeous architecture.....it's one of my favorites.  So when my friend and fabulous photographer Libby McGowan of Libby McGowan Photography asked me to second shoot a wedding with her, I jumped at the opportunity.

Katie and Drew's Charleston wedding was held at the gorgeous Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina.  I'm definitely hoping to add more Charleston Weddings to my wedding photography resume *hint hint wink wink* Here are a few from their lovely waterfront ceremony, enjoy!

"Hitched" Stylized Shoot: St. Louis Destination Wedding Photographer

Happy Monday!  I recently (yesterday) had the opportunity to travel from St. Louis to Las Vegas and attend a stylized shoot hosted by the ever so talented Chelsea LaVere of Orchestrated Stylized Shoots.  As a St. Louis based Wedding Photographer, this was my third time traveling to and attending a stylized shoot by orchestrated and as usual, it was jam packed full of gorgeousness.  I love attending stylized shoots because it's a great way to think outside of the box and maybe try new shooting or editing techniques, practicing setting up unique shots, and a great opportunity to meet other photographers and vendors.  This particular shoot called "Hitched" took place at the lovely Legends Ranch is Las Vegas, Nevada. 

  I just wanted to share a few photos from this amazing shoot :)

 Isn't Kira absolutely stunning???  She SO looks like Tamra from The Real Housewives of Orange County!  Don't you think?!?!?!  Her and Andrew make a ridiculously gorgeous couple.

Not only is Tiffany drop dead gorgeous, but she is also the owner and creator of Peridot Sweets in 

Las Vegas.  She created the beautiful wedding cake for Hitched as well as the STUNNING wedding cake for Feather and Stone.  Her creations are kind of amazing.

I LOVE how the "horse shoe" made an appearance on the stationary as well as the wedding cake.

And don't even get me started on the STUNNING table setting.  I have a small (huge) addiction when it comes to color glass and antique dishes so of course I "sqeeeed" when I saw this amazing set up.

Oh and the cherry on top!  This is the adorable and handsome horse named Yellow.  I was slightly obsessed with him and wanted to take him home.  Such a sweetie.

So the next time you or someone you know is planning to travel to Las Vegas and get married, please remember that it doesn't have to be in a Vegas Wedding Chapel.  It can still be intimate, gorgeous, and absolutely fabulous :)  And as a Destination Wedding Photographer, I would be more than happy to fly out and capture your special day. :)

Feather & Stone Stylized Shoot - St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Back in March (I know, it's been a few months) I had the pleasure of attending WPPI in Las Vegas.  It's basically THE BEST photography conference in which thousands of wedding and portrait photographers come together for a few days to learn from the best in the industry, shoot, mingle, and have THE BEST time!  This was my first time attending WPPI and I can honestly say, it was one of the best experiences of my life.  If you've ever been scared to travel alone or attend things in which you don't know a single person, I encourage you reach outside of your comfort zone and just go for it.  Attending WPPI allowed me to meet some INCREDIBLE people who I can now call lifelong friends and I'm so thankful for the opportunity.

While in Las Vegas, I had the opportunity of attending a few stylized shoots.  One stylized shoot I attended was Feather and Stone, which was created by the fabulous ladies of Orchestrated: Stylized Shoots.  Set in the fabulous Springs Preserve in Las Vegas, here are a few photos from Feather and Stone, a Native American inspired shoot.  Enjoy!
