O'Fallon IL Children's Photographer - Jaidyn and Alek

I recently got to spend some time with Jaidyn and Alek. Their mom Marilyn had contacted me about a portrait session, and as soon as she mentioned a playground, I was game. Weaving in and out of the playground, dodging swinging children, trying not to get hit by kids zooming down the slide....I had a blast! :) Jaidyn and Alek are absolutely AH-dorable and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Marilyn for letting me capture their beautiful spirit and their smiling faces. Here are a few from their portrait session. Enjoy!

This is the adorable Alek....say hello....

And the gorgeous Jaidyn....

They both have perfect curly hair.....love it!

And GORGEOUS brown eyes....LOVE!

Hehe....good times...

Lovely...

I just can't get over that hair!  Love it....

Straight out of a GAP catalog.... :)

Mommy had a nice bouquet when we got done....so sweet.  Not sure if the park was too happy about that.... but whatever.... It was all my fault. :)

I love them all...but I LOVE this one....

Sibling love... :)

Alek had a little fall (backwards off of the table and scared the crap out of me) but he is a trooper....plus hugs from mom make it all better!  And turn into cute pictures... :)

Had to get mom in at least one photo.....so cute!!!!  They have one AWESOME mom! :)

They have this....thing.....that you sit on and there's a handle at the top and you crank it in circles and it spins you...never seen anyting like it.  I need to get out more.... :)

Alek also had his turn on the...thing....I don't know what it's called!
It was cute though....and I adore his eyelashes!

Little Elvis grin.... :)

Thanks again Jaidyn and Alek (and mom).  :)  You both are little beauties!

Have a fabulous day!

Michigan

Last weekend DH and I traveled to Michigan.  After an oversold flight Friday evening, we had to wake up at 3:30am Saturday morning and take the first flight out.  I am not an early bird, so I was basically a walking zombie mumbling incomplete sentences to DH and then giving the flight attendant the stank eye every time she woke me up just to make sure I didn't want anything to snack on.  Need sleepy lady!  And yes I will take that twix bar..... :)  Even though it was a non-stop trip and we were only in Michigan for a total of 18 hours, it was a very special trip.  Two love birds tied the knot that weekend, and it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Family and friends gathered as two people found love again and became man and wife.  Tim's Grandpa was the lucky groom and we were lucky enough to witness their special day.  Here are a few pics from their wedding and our quick trip to Michigan.  Enjoy!

During our layover in Minneapolis, I was excited to find Caribou coffee...heaven....And I enjoyed it even more because it had a red straw.  Easily amused....

Then I got bored and decided to take pictures of my luggage and cute chunky purse.... :)  I also took pictures of my cute shoes, but I will spare you.

Aren't they cute?  :)

SO happy and in love.

You bet they sealed it with a kiss.... ;)

One gorgeous cake!  It was tasty too... :)

SOOOO Sweet!  Any man who wipes cake off your face is a keeper.... :)

After the ceremony we decided to put on our comfy clothes and go to the beach.....well Lake Michigan....Tim was in deep thought in this photo.  Or he was just exhausted.... :)

It was a good 55 degrees outside and very windy...but my favorite thing in the world is to walk barefoot in cold sand.  Especially burying my feet deep in the sand where it's really cold...I LOVE it!  And could have stayed there all day...

The water was a good 45 degrees...I know because I had my handy dandy thermometer (I'm joking...) It was cold okay....  But that did not stop Aunt Susie! :)

I'm totally in favor of dogs on the beach, but found the Scottish Terrier amusing.....

I decided to pull out my camera on our trip back home.  I was more awake and less cranky, and I love how blue the sky is at 30,000 feet.

Also love the clouds aka "Sea of Charmin"....hehe... :)

Hope you enjoyed Michigan as much as we did!

Have a fabulous day! :)

Happy Father's Day! ♥

I just wanted to wish my Dad and all the awesome fathers out there a Happy Father's Day!  The older I get, the more I realize that I am SO much like my Dad.  We both laugh really loud, talk loud, are very outgoing, very hard headed, love sports, love to dance, LOVE shrimp, drive fast, love to crank up the music and sing at the top of our lungs (even though we both can't carry a tune), we both have the same nose (the Hill nose) and same eyes, and actually enjoy talking to strangers.  My dad has a huge heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back.  Dad you have always supported me and my dreams.  I love you and thank you for everything!  And of course I made a little photo tribute to my Dad.  Enjoy!

Check out my Dad's awesome stereo equipment... :)

I LOVED Care Bears..my favorite was Sunshine Bear, in which my dad called me Sunshine... :)

My dad had THE BEST collection of "trucker" hats and there are tons of pictures of me wearing my dad's hats....loved those hats...

At Sea World in San Diego when we lived in California.

LOL...I love this picture....putting together my swing set.  Love the tube socks dad!

My dad is a Desert Storm Veteran and served over 20 years in the United States Air Force.
So proud of my dad!

Dancing machines.... :)

NYC trip!  My dad and I also went to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame AND Niagra Falls.  But of course I could not find those pictures, but I guarentee I will find them after I post this....

Not afraid to wear my Statue of Liberty gear in public.... :)

Hill Family Reunion in Alabama.

NASCAR!  WAHOO!

College Graduation.  My Dad really was happy, he was just trying really hard not to cry. :)  When I decided to move to Florida after graduation, my Dad packed up and drove the Penske truck all the way down to Florida.  Then when I moved out of my first apartment and into my second apartment, he drove all the way back down to Florida, helped me pack up my stuff, then moved me again.  THEN when I decided to move back to Illinois he drove ALL the way back down to Florida, helped me pack again, and moved me back to Illinois.  That is unconditional, I love my crazy only daughter so much, kind of love.  Thanks so much Dad. :)

At the Iron Bowl Game (Auburn vs. Alabama).  My dad is a HUGE......HUUUUUUUUGE Auburn fan.  That was the best football game I've ever been to and a very special day with my Dad.  WAR EAGLE!

My Dad always knows how to make me laugh....

My dad has always been my/an amazing Coach.  I played tons of sports growing up and he was always on the side lines cheering me on, calming me down, and taping up my broken/jammed fingers, ankle, shoulder, and knee. He still has all of my trophies/awards.  He even coached me down the aisle on my wedding day with tissue in hand.  :)

Happy Father's Day Dad!  I love you!

Hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day as well.  Have a great day!
