Sunday Morning....

Well afternoon....  :)  Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending one fabulous wedding for two awesome people, our friends Kelly and Matt.  I just love them.  They both have the biggest hearts and I just love being in their presence, so positive and just light up the room.  Kelly wore an amazing sweetheart princess gown with a gorgeous diamond brooch, diamond accessories, the perfect pair of hot pink satin high heels, and a full hot pink rose bouquet.  She looked like wedding barbie.  Her bridesmaids wore Shamrock/Kelly green long strapless satin dresses with hot pink satin high heels and hot pink rose bouquets.  Everything from the colors to the flowers to the diamonds were SO Kelly.  Loved it!  Gorgeous catholic church, gorgeous ballroom reception, great music, great people, so much fun.  This morning I woke up at 10 minutes til noon, which I have not done in such a long time.  As I rolled out of bed my legs and shoulders were a bit sore, and my feet hurt.  Tim then showed me his blisters on his feet and we both laughed.  Oh we are dancing machines....not good dancing machines, but dancing machines.  As I sat down at my desk to do my usual Sunday morning email routine, I couldn't help but notice this pretty little box sitting on top my printer.  It made me smile.  Kelly and Matt gave everyone christmas ornaments and wrapped them in adorable green wrapping paper tied with a hot pink bow.  I think I'm just going to leave it there for a while and enjoy it's company.... :)  Congratulations you two!  Have fun on your honeymoon in the Maya Riviera!

Have a fabulous day!

St. Louis Wedding Photographer - John and Jessica

Okay, so sometimes (a lot of times) I get these creative ideas....I don't know where they come from, but it just happens.  I can't help it.  Usually my mom looks at me like "Okay Kristina....you just do that...." or my DH laughs like I'm joking...then realizes I'm dead serious and says "Alright...I love you (you crazy person you)"....  But when it comes to photography, I think my "creative" ideas are a good thing.  Well this idea involved graffiti, abandoned buildings, and muddy yellow fields.  I then told my friend Jessica about these little ideas and asked her if she wanted to participate.  She is also creative and adventurous and was like "SURE!"  SWEEEET!  I refer to Jessica as my little guinea pig.  You may remember her from this session which is also one of my "creative" ideas involving railroad tracks, abandoned barns, and cowboy boots.  She is awesome!  And so is her DH John who we brought along (drug along kicking and screaming).  Just kidding....he was a great sport.  :)  Thank you both for being such great sports and venturing out with me!  Here are a few photos from their session. :)

I ♥ graffiti.....

Jessica has the whole "Snow White" thing going on.... :)

If you are ever crawling around on the ground beside an abandoned building....watch out for glass.....ouch....fearless yall! :)

I used my magic to make that bouquet stay.....I did....I have magical powers....

That was one stinky alley...but one gorgeous couple... :)

So Snow White!  Come on!  Love this field....

I don't know about you....but I totally want to go throw on my wedding dress and be swung around in a field of gold.....where is my husband....although we probably wouldn't look nearly as graceful as they do....LOL....  Thanks agiain Jessica and John for one awesome session! :)

Looking forward to my maternity shoot this weekend with Liz!  Stay tuned for that!  AND I am also in the process of "jazzing up" my blog.  TOTALLY different look about to happen....I'm excited! :)

Have a FABULOUS weekend!

New things....

I love new things. New shoes, new purse, new hair color....love. But when it comes to new "technical" thingssuch as Microsoft Word, printers, cell phones....I dislike. I wouldn't say that I'm lazy (oh I have my moments) but once I become comfortable with or "good at using" anything technical (not like that), I usually tend to curl up in a little ball and stay in my happy place. Once a year I do venture out and upgrade my cell phone which is a huge deal for me. I am totally down with the whole Zack Morris phone, but do try to stay with the times as much as I can when it comes to my phone. This usually turns into me saying "oh that's pretty....I want that one....its shiny, and cool color....ok how do you turn it on? How do you take a picture with it? Oh I have internet on this thing??? Get out!"...and then DH spending hours trying to teach me how to use my phone. Well I recently decided to purchase a new camera lense. I have a "wish list" when it comes to my camera and photography, but when it comes to trying something new AND technical, I get nervous. DH and I sat down and did some research and then I did it.....I ordered a new lense. *Applause* Thank you! Thank you! This week I recieved my new lense....the Canon 50mm 1.8, and let me tell you...it felt like Christmas time. So far I really like it, and I can't wait to bring that bad boy out this weekend during one of my photo sessions. Oh and just so you know, this shoot involves a wedding dress, purple shoes, and some
graffiti. Excited? I am.... :)
Trying new things is good....

And stay tuned for the adorable Garrett!  I'm hoping to get those pics up by this weekend! :)
