Soulard Farmer's Market

This past weekend the weather was absolutely gorgeous!  I ventured out with my DH and my mom to the Soulard Farmer's Market.  According to their website, this market is the oldest farmer's market west of the mississippi.  I have lived here for MANY years and have never made it down to the famous Soulard Market.  It was SO awesome!  Lots of vendors, so many choices, so much diveristy, loved it!  The produce smelled amazing and the colors were AH mazing.  So good thing I brought my camera huh?  :)  Here are some photos from our visit.  I am now obsessed with the Farmer's Market.  If anyone would like to go with me next weekend and help me pull my radio flyer wagon, you are more than welcome!

Welcome! :)

Our first stop was at Sea Street Soap Works booth.  My mom used to have her own business in which she made soap with essential oils and crushed up flower petals etc.  Our house always smelled lovely.  SO everytime I see homemade soap it reminds me of my mom.  I purchased the Sandlewood, White Rose, Patchouli, and Lavender Oatmeal.  They smell AH mazing! :)

"World Famous" Soulard Market mini donuts....they were very tasty.

These apples were HUGE, and 3 for $1....sold!

They were seriously HUGE....

Love limes....maragaritas anyone??? :)

The Soulard Spice Shop was by far my favorite shop!  The smell was absolutely heavenly....they had spices (of course) as well as gourmet cheeses and coffees.  We picked up some Creme Brulee coffee.  I was very excited.

Creme Brulee coffee...yummo....

I'm a sucker for fresh flower stands.  I picked up this bouquet of Black Baccara roses for....$7!  WHAT?!?!?  Black Baccara roses are MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, hence my wedding bouquet and wedding centerpieces.  LOVE....love....  :)

As soon as we got home, I found them a home.... :)

Avocados....3 for $1....insane!

Pineapple....2 for $1....yup....

Pineapples remind me of Palm trees.....and Hawaii....which is why I love them....

Fresh garlic...3 for $1....and we made roasted garlic for the first time last night.  It was yummy on italian bread with butter...and the whole house smelled like garlic.  Hehe.... :)  Here is the easy recipe

And on the way home, I stopped at one of my fav antique shops.  If you read my last blog post, you are aware of my bathroom project.  I scored this set of Aqua Blue mason jars for $10.  Stay tuned for pics of that project. :)

I also scored this little beauty....a Vintage Garay evening clutch.  LOOOOVE the silky peacock blue and little gold clasp.  It is in great condition, and at $7.....it had to be mine!  If any bride would like to borrow it, just let me know. :)

Hope you have a FABULOUS week!  I'm off to finish my bathroom project!
STAY TUNED!  :)
