Jamie and Bret were married last October (I know, their anniversary is coming up) and since Fall is almost here, I figured it was about time to blog their wedding.  Jamie and Bret are such an AH-dorable couple.  You can check out their Alton IL engagement session here.  This lovely coupled was referred to me by White House Weddings and Events and I could not thank those fabulous ladies enough!

Jamie and Bret were married in Alton IL and then we traveled to the small lovely town of Elsah to photograph their wedding party portraits.  I'm not going to lie, Elsah is one of my favorite little towns to photograph in.  It reminds me so much of Germany.  The fall colors were in full bloom and I could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding couple and outgoing wedding party to photograph.

Their nautical themed wedding reception was held at the fabulous Loading Dock in Grafton IL.  The Loading Dock is one of my favorite St. Louis area venues to photograph a wedding reception at.  The setting is so urban and cool and the fabulous ladies of White House Weddings and Events did a FABULOUS job styling their reception and making it look absolutely stunning!  Jamie and Bret had The Dirty Muggs perform at their wedding reception, my favorite cover band in St. louis for sure.  And the best part of the day was when Jamie's Dad played the harmonica at the reception.  Hands down, the best part of the day!  Thank you Jamie and Bret for letting me capture your amazing day, you and your families are absolutely adorable!  Here are a few photos from their special day.

Melissa and Matt ENGAGED | Chicago IL Wedding Photographer

Back in March I traveled up state to photograph Melissa and Matt's downtown Chicago engagement session.  Their St. Louis wedding is coming up so I thought I better share their engagement session huh? :)

Their session was originally scheduled for Saturday, but as I was shopping at IKEA Saturday morning I couldn't help but notice the IKEA flags whipping in the wind...oh...and the snowflakes falling.  I never want my couples to freeze to death if they don't have to, so we decided to reschedule for Sunday.    If you are at all familiar with Midwest weather you know it can change by the hour.  I mean, we have tornadoes in December...random!  So of course Sunday was 70 degrees and sunny, way better weather for a session if you ask me.

We met in downtown Chicago near Lincoln Park for their engagement session and just walked around for a bit.  The Chicago skyline is gorgeous and the building there are gorgeous.  Loved their engagement session!  Even more excited to photograph their St. Louis wedding in October!
