Mason Jar Project

SO I've decided to venture out into "Fashion/Beauty/Decorating" world.  I like (love) to do projects, bargain shop, and love makeup.....so I'm going to start sharing some of my ideas and adventures with you (thanks Nicole).  BUT don't worry, photography is my numero uno amore (number one love) so there will always be pictures as well as my photo sessions.  Anyways, if you remember my mason jar post, you know about my bathroom project.  This weekend I scored a gorgeous set of aqua antique mason jars at one of my fav antique shops.  Here is the finished project!  What do you think?  It was SO easy.  The hardest part was actually cutting the "fake" flowers......those stems are made of steel.....I had to use my He-Man power...(yes I just tagged a He-Man clip).  Cause I'm cool like that. :)

Here they are....my little aqua beauties....♥

BEFORE....a single towel rack...with a towel that never gets used...

THEN...(we) replaced it with a glass shelf.....$12.99 at Walmart.....

A little soap and water....those jars shined right up real nice.....

Then I cut up and added some homemade soap from the Farmer's Market....which smells lovely by the way...as well as some fuchsia fake flowers and makeup brushes.....AND....

TAH DAH!  My (our) new bathroom shelf.....what do you think?

I think it adds a vintage touch.....

Now who wants to bet on how long I'll go before knocking off a jar?  :)

Have a FABULOUS day!  Stay tuned for my makeup post.  Lots of cool pics!

  4. You might want to put a bit of museum wax on the bottom of the jars to keep them from being knocked off.
